Frank Karbe has over 25 years of financial and life-sciences expertise and helped build companies that successfully developed and commercialized multiple products. He also has a long standing passion for the intersection of medical science and digital technology and how it may be applied to improve human health. Prior to Better Therapeutics, he was President and Chief Financial Officer of Myovant Sciences where he led the company's efforts to raise approximately $2 billion in capital and its evolution from a private start-up organization to a publicly listed commercial stage company with two marketed products. He also served as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer at Exelixis, Inc. for over a decade, as the company evolved from a discovery to a commercial organization. Earlier in his career, Mr. Karbe worked as an investment banker for Goldman Sachs & Co. focusing on corporate finance and mergers and acquisitions in the life sciences industry. Mr. Karbe holds a Diplom-Kaufmann (MBA) from the WHU Otto Beisheim School of Management in Koblenz, Germany.

Dr. Mark Berman serves as Better’s Chief Medical Officer. Previously, he practiced as an internal and lifestyle medicine physician at One Medical. Dr. Berman received his M.D. from Yale. He completed residency at Harvard’s Brigham and Women’s Hospital and a clinical research fellowship at University of California, San Francisco. He has also served as a director of the American College of Lifestyle Medicine.

Kristin Wynholds is Better’s Chief Product Officer. Most recently, she was Principal Product Designer at Carbon Five, a digital product development consultancy. Ms. Wynholds has led or been involved with more than 30 digital product launches for companies including Stanford Health and Grand Rounds. Ms. Wynholds has a B.A. degree in psychology from UC Santa Barbara.

Mark Heinen is Better's interim Chief Financial Officer and has over 25 years of finance and accounting experience. He has served in leadership positions in both publicly traded and private technology companies. Most recently, Mr. Heinen was the Chief Financial Officer at Omnigo LLC. Prior to that, he served as the SVP, Global Corporate Controller and interim Chief Financial Officer at Trintech, Inc. Mr. Heinen's career began in public accounting at PricewaterhouseCoopers. He has a B.B.A. in accounting and an M.B.A from the University of Oklahoma, and is a certified public accountant.

Having worked and lived in three different continents, Mr. Oliveira learned and admires the power of diversity, people and teams, and their importance to driving innovation and finding solutions to unmet needs. Mr. Oliveira is a Certified Leadership Coach by Georgetown University, has an M.B.A. from ESADE Business School (Spain) and a B.A. in business administration from FAAP (Brazil).

Prior to working at Better, Andres was VP of Engineering at Manilla and Vinfolio. Diane Gomez-Thinnes serves as Chief Commercial Officer for Better Therapeutics where she leads the team that will bring the company’s innovative prescription digital therapeutics solutions to market. Ms. Gomez-Thinnes has more than two decades of experience in the medtech, consumer care and pharmaceutical sectors with significant experience in P&L management, operations, multichannel distribution, and marketing.

Diane spent 17 years in the MedTech sector at Johnson & Johnson, ascending through strategic and commercial roles. While there, she oversaw specialty areas including plastic and reconstructive surgery, biosurgery, interventional cardiology, neurovascular, and peripheral vascular, ultimately holding the title of Worldwide President, Mentor, Johnson & Johnson’s breast aesthetics business and returned the company to global market leadership.  Diane went on to serve as U.S. President for Galderma, an integrated dermatology company across aesthetics, consumer care and prescription medicines where she led a major transformation for the company and delivered double-digit growth.  Diane has a passion for innovation and has driven the delivery of market-leading technologies that make a difference in the lives of patients.

Diane holds an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management, Northwestern University, and a BSE, Chemical Engineering from Princeton University.
